  1. Glad that’s over…

And… another season has come and gone. Honestly, I’m glad its over. I’m no fan of the rush to obtain expensive gifts with money I don’t have for people who don’t care. I did, however get the chance to do something unexpected for someone this year, and ONLY because I knew they appreciated it was it worth it. I’ve read extensive threads of people complaining about what they got (or didn’t get) and it just sickens me to no end. Since when did a mysterious unseen man deliver awesome gifts to everyone? Oh… I remember. That wasn’t Santa, that was...
  2. Warning: Your control is slipping away.

It’s not that you really ever had control anyway. Control, well… it’s an illusion. Not a mirage, but an illusion. It really does seem like its there – tangible, within your reach but only sometimes working the way you expect, more often times, elusive. Tonight for my birthday we decided to take the kids to the “new” Mr. Gatti’s pizza. Pizza, video games, cartoons on a bigscreen TV. What more can a kid ask for? Birthdays are for kids really. I’m 36, those days rode off into the sunset long ago. Just when you thought, hey, this is my day…...
  3. Keep Writing

Part of the learning curve will be to keep writing – While the posts that I make here will not necessarily apply to anyone or make sense, it just seems like a good idea to try and keep the mind working overtime by writing. My brother, Mark, seems to get alot of his songs this way. Keep freehanding and eventually things that don’t make sense will start to flow together into a coherent piece. I’ve never fancied myself a songwriter, and its the secondary reason that I never pursued music more than I did/do. I’d like to be able to...

Here’s a picture of the whole crew, and these days, its not too common to get them all together, even on holidays. We went from an all-or-none weekend with Angie not working to having at least a majority of them at almost all times, and definitely every weekend, and now Angie is working too and we’re only off together about every 6 weeks or so. If you ever decide that you have a substantial amount of free time on your hands, and that you need to get involved with something, give me a call. Well, put your drugs away, and...
  5. Learning Curve

I guess we can call this the beginning of a learning curve. It’s actually more like a project, and one that better work, too. When I first decided to do a website, it was because I wanted to get involved in the tech community that was going on outside my bubble, and I had the opportunity to work with one of those people who is always going to encourage you, and no matter what I needed, Mefford was always willing to help me get where I needed to be going. I heard a saying once, that a good leader takes...
