For the 1 person that cares: What happened this time was that (in short) the nameservers at the host were mismatched. That, in turn caused a DNS problem, and then the site goes down hard. Thanks to "Stephanie" at the hosting firm, the issue was resolved and we can start using the site again.

Thank God, this mess is over.

Website is physically running, and updates are in place, but media and user accounts have not been restored.UPDATE: Partial restoration of user accounts and stories, forums are starting to build and media is being uploaded. Please be patient.

In life there are things that are public and things that are private. I'm mostly a private person. I don't much care to air any aspect of my life in the wide open, and its a big reason why I have not succumbed to the pressures of social networking. I have a facebook profile, but its not really for me, just a way to keep up with others I see less frequently.

It's a thing with me... organization.
